Tomorrow

1 min

The damp mould of winter

Begins to disperse-

The cruel hail,

Of darker days –

Giving way to hope of,

Brighter hues.

The vanilla threads of spiderwebs-

Glisten under the hands of morning dew.

The compass of the evening sun.

Finding itself,

Navigating once again.

The burnished heads of daffodils –

Nod gently in approval of,

A spring revival.

And the dormouse begins to stir-

Emboldened by the promise of

Tomorrow.

  1. Beautiful writing…and just saw your comment to Kenny! It does read like you like spring…but even if you don’t…it’s beautifully evocative of what spring is for a lot of people. I love how you ended it because I think for many spring is that welcome gateway after the harshness of winter that means Summer is coming.
