So many beautiful lines in this one Heather, Beautiful things make me cry too. I really loved the ideas and the sense of moments of hope and freedom. The music also paired so well with it! Perfect choice!

I love pairing music and poems together, while I am already in love with the words I want to listen and read a couple more times!
Just got done on my second read with the music playing and it really gave the words so much depth as I read; I feel like I really relate to being sensitive to the good and bad and you captured that amazingly here!

I enjoyed this so much. Fascinating to learn about the derby. Horseracing is kind of big in the UK but only for the rich generally (So I’ve never been 😁) – seems like a much more inclusive affair stateside. Love mohitos so I think a mint julep will be highly apreciated. Not sure I can get the right borboun here, but’ll give it a go!

Oh my…this was so frivilously fun until the sucker punch of the last line – that slapped me right in the face! Very true though, I use it a lot and hate that I do but its that western kinda thing we do to ourselves when we just wanna moan but have been programmed to not. I love your cover art so much also!
