Oh my goodness, this was so heartbreakingly beautiful. Such a powerful testamet to friendship, love and justice. You had me sobbing at Rathlon’s ____ and then bawlling at the interruption x Really stunningly written 🤍

I…yes…this one made me really kinda teary eyed. Such elegance though…such deftness in how you, in not even that many words, brought their age-old friendship to life. So much sadness and beauty in one story. Wanna know something weird. One of my first drafts/ideas for that particular challenge, was for two friends, an ancient eagle and an ancient tree, and one was very kindly and positive towards the humans, whereas the eagle was very untrusting and felt they were nothing but trouble. Kinda like the Professor and Magneto in X-Men. Anyway, always thought it was interesting that we had had those same kinda ideas. Impressive writing, Heather, findamn.

Elegantly lascivious with a potent ending. Phenomenal poem, Heather!
Thank you, Dana!!
I really love the way this flowed, I think it would sound great read. Really wonderful way of working the acrostic.
Thank you, River 🙂 You do such a great job of reading aloud. I wish I had that confidence.
there might be a program coming on here where we get readers for people, both for poems and short stories =].
Deliciously good, Heather. I loved reading it again
Aww, thank you so much for taking the time to give it another look 🙂
Stunning. Sexy but not disgusting. Beautiful in its way and just brilliant use of an acrostic. This was one of my favourites…though that’s always going to be hard to decide from your mammoth collection of eclipse-inspired ones! Also…that guy has an inspired level of upper body strength and a killer core lol. Tal, fin.
LOL, I mean he needs to be able to show up! And thank you so much, I loved the way this one turned out. I’m glad it’s being well received 🙂
Very sclever and sensual – beautifully done!
Thank you so much, Celia 🙂 And I like ‘sclever’ whether it was a typo or not. Reminds me of ‘shmexy’ lol.
It wasn’t..I was trying to be funny 😂 Like sexy smart 😂
