Aw Hayley, I felt this. Beautifully written but so much truth and I am sure many can relate. You take care and maybe try to give you a little attention every now and then 🤍

Thanks so much Celia! 💗 To be fully honest this was an older piece that I have been itching to revisit and revamp to make more current, had fun with the wave *motion* ha, I appreciate the kind well wishes!!!

Awesome piece Hayley, the formatting adds so much to the piece. It’s visually gorgeous as well as the writing. Really great stuff.

Thank you so so so much River!!! I had this one written in an old notebook years ago with this pattern, but the first draft I did online I wasn’t in love with. But I think I finally got it here! So glad you enjoyed.

I really enjoyed this one, and I’m glad you paired the song, it was a good companion to this piece. Really beautiful flow and rythm, nicely done!

So many beautiful lines in this one Heather, Beautiful things make me cry too. I really loved the ideas and the sense of moments of hope and freedom. The music also paired so well with it! Perfect choice!

I love pairing music and poems together, while I am already in love with the words I want to listen and read a couple more times!
Just got done on my second read with the music playing and it really gave the words so much depth as I read; I feel like I really relate to being sensitive to the good and bad and you captured that amazingly here! -

Simply beautiful, but I think I already told you that. P.S. I’m still trying to work my way back to finding some inspiration.

This is so hauntingly beautiful and so, so sad. Your descriptions ons of the jelly are stunning as are the subtle details of the brush strokes 🤍

This is twisted, in a really great way. I immediately was attached to Sam. Your first paragraph was so strong, really brought me in. Nicely done!

This is one of those short stories that you think about long after you’ve finished reading. The pace, the character development – it hits on all cylinders.
-
Heather Hubler replied 2 years ago
Thank you so much, Dana!! Every time I reread this one, the sadness of the all too real situation lingers with me. I appreciate your thoughts 🙂

Oh my…this was so frivilously fun until the sucker punch of the last line – that slapped me right in the face! Very true though, I use it a lot and hate that I do but its that western kinda thing we do to ourselves when we just wanna moan but have been programmed to not. I love your cover art so much also! Beautiful!

It feels like such a crutch and yet I can’t help doing it. Like, here’s the silver lining to your sack of crap. Thank you so much for reading 🙂 And I’ve been trying to go through all my ‘discarded’ images and use them for inspiration.

I hear that…another go to for me is the classic ‘could be worse’ …Its somehow comforting to know that other people find themselves irritated with themselves as much as I am with myself 🤣 Wow, discared – it really is stunning!

Grounding is an essential part of enjoying the simple things. I too have bunnies and they are eyeballing my romaine. Nice work and I love the lead image.

Lol, I bet they are!! The bunnies here ate all my tulips. And thank you! I’m trying to use some of the images I’ve gotten but haven’t used as inspiration 🙂

Ah felt this one. I often get annoyed at myself for not stopping enough and taking in the beauty around me. Well written and love that image!
-
Heather Hubler replied 2 years ago
Thank you! I don’t think it’s hard to do. Always something on our minds or hearts keeping us occupied. And I love the image too…it was something I didn’t use for another piece but really wanted to write something for it 🙂

Really nice, it’s so hard to stop for the small things especially now. The little things bring a lot of joy. This is such a good reminder.
-
Heather Hubler replied 2 years ago
Thank you! I’m glad it maybe gave you a bit of joy today to stop and look around. I know I needed the brief reset 🙂
